Candidate for Mayor of East Aurora
Luke lives in East Aurora with his wife and children. He grew up nearby in Colden and has deep roots in the Southtowns.
Luke has served as a member of the Town of Aurora Council for six years, where he has been closely involved in local governance, infrastructure decisions, and long term planning. He is known for being accessible, responsive, and willing to engage directly with residents.
Luke believes good local government starts with listening. Decisions should not come as a surprise to residents, and planning should be proactive rather than reactive.

During his time on the Aurora Town Board, Luke has helped deliver real results for the community, including:
Securing grant funding for infrastructure and planning, including $4.5 mln. in funding for downtown revitalization in West Falls, climate smart community grants that gave the town a no-cost new electric mower and electric pickup truck, grants for improvements to the senior center, environmental grants for equipment used to compost leaves and sticks, an Erie County grant to cover 90% of the cost of the Town of Aurora’s comprehensive plan, multiple NY Bridge grants to improve aging infrastructure, and many more.
Improving roads, facilities, and public services, including lobbying NYS to ensure proper drainage and walkeability in West Falls.
Advancing long term planning efforts, including zoning changes to residential zones to preserve the rural character of the Town of Aurora, zoning changes and the introduction of an overlay to prevent national chain stores in our historical hamlets, and the introduction of a comprehensive plan.
Protecting community character and open space, including revitalization of the open space committee, zoning changes to prevent suburban sprawl, and protecting the historical nature of our hamlets.
Supporting environmental initiatives, including recognition as a Bronze-certified climate smart community
Maintaining fiscal discipline while investing in public priorities, including never going over the tax cap.
Expanding transparency and communication in local government, including introduction of the CodeRed system for emergency and general notifications and creating and developing the Town of Aurora’s social media policy.

Tim Bojanowski is committed to strong, responsive local government and to protecting what makes East Aurora a great place to live. He believes village leadership should listen carefully to residents, plan responsibly, and focus on everyday quality of life issues.
Tim brings a practical, community focused perspective and believes that village government works best when it is accessible, transparent, and grounded in the needs of residents.

Candidate for village trustee
Ryan Kamp is running for the Village Board of Trustees because he believes his experience, expertise, and deep love for the community can help East Aurora continue to thrive.
Ryan and his wife, Kelly, moved to East Aurora nearly six years ago with their three children and immediately knew they had found their community. As a father of three and an active volunteer in local youth sports, Ryan is personally invested in ensuring the village remains a vibrant, well managed place for families.
Ryan holds a Master of Public Administration from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, with a focus on public finance and economic development. He began his career in public sector consulting, where he worked with municipal governments on budgeting, debt service, and fiscal policy analysis. He understands how government spending decisions affect taxpayers over the long term.
For more than a decade, Ryan has also led teams and managed complex operations for high growth companies and global enterprises. He currently leads strategy and operations for a 500 person team at Motive Technologies, and his remote work keeps him in the village most days.
Ryan is proud to serve as Vice President of the East Aurora Baseball and Softball Association and as the town’s T Ball Commissioner, in addition to coaching youth sports each season. He is running for Trustee to bring a data driven, thoughtful, and responsible approach to village governance.

Chelsea Root is a community minded resident, mom, small business owner, and real estate professional running for the Village Board because she cares deeply about the future of East Aurora.
Chelsea thinks every day about the kind of community being built for children and the shared responsibility to protect what makes the village special. She studied political science and had the opportunity to study abroad in England and Scotland, where she worked alongside the European Union. That experience led to a role in Los Angeles, where she helped bring global ideas to small towns, focusing on practical solutions such as renewable energy, water conservation, and food waste alternatives.
As a small business owner, Chelsea understands the real challenges and opportunities facing the local economy. As a real estate professional, she sees firsthand how village decisions impact neighborhoods, property values, and overall quality of life.
Chelsea is not a career politician. She is a neighbor who believes in thoughtful growth, responsible spending, and transparent local government. She values listening, asking questions, and working collaboratively to ensure decisions reflect the needs of residents. She would be honored to serve the community with honesty, accessibility, and a genuine commitment to the people who call the village home.
